Yeah this is my thoughts about Grealish

He gives me Nasri vibes, in the way that he is unreal on the ball, and never gives it away, and can go past defenders very stylishly without the need for pace

Nasti was similar in the way that he didn't get a lot of assists or goals, but offered so much to the team even though he had his critics
Nasri got some crucial goals for us, Chelsea at Wembley in the Cup, away to Roma and v Wst Ham to win the league, oh and how could I forget as I was right in front of it - that amazing goal v Sunderland at Wembley. Hope to see z Tew goals from Jacky boy

Remember the Sunderland goal very well, the roof came off the place

If people like Keeper haven't worked out by now that Pep doesn't suffer fools then they never will.

It reminds me of the shit Walker used to get when he had rough patches of form in the early days. "He's not good enough technically, all he can do is run quickly". It was nonsense then and it's nonsense now about Jack.

"He's not good enough, all he does is jink about and pass it sideways". If that was the case he'd have been flogged to the highest bidder in the summer. We have proper depth in quality on the wings and yet Grealish starts regularly.

Grealish wouldn't last in Pep's squad (and he certainly wouldn't get in Pep's starting XI) if he didn't pull his weight and contribute to the team effort. That's why your likes of Nolito, Sané, Torres etc. were shipped off.

Do I think Grealish could be a bit more dangerous on a regular basis? Yeah. A player of his quality, in his position, should be contributing to 20 G/A per season. His underlying figures are good but his key contributions are lacking.

But he started the majority of games for us in the Premier League last season during a year where we hit 93 points. You don't do that if you're no good. He's clearly no slouch and Pep clearly likes him. I trust Pep.
Grealish has said he’s disappointed with himself and he’s got a lot more to show (after the Wolves game) so there’s nowt wrong with fans saying the same thing.

Pep continually played Sterling for runs of games over years when he was playing poorly, as well as Mahrez in 2019-20 and this season. I often think that Pep does that to play them into form, as the rest of the team can carry the odd player not playing well in half the games we play, while long term getting that player into form rather than sitting then on the bench is better for them.

Grealish isn’t playing poorly, he’s not doing that much wrong at all really. But he has admitted and we can see he does need to do more, be more aggressive, get more positive outcomes in higher up areas of the pitch than a nice backwards pass or getting a free kick. His shooting has been very poor, he often takes too long to decide what to do and telegraphs it to the world what it will be when he makes his mind up and his passing lane, shooting chance, pass, cross or shot is blocked.

We have the right to be reasonably happy with Grealish but we have every right to expect much more from him, and there’s much more in there and much more to come.

This version of Grealish is seriously nowhere bloody near Jack Grealish at his best… nowhere near!

I hope he plays tomorrow and has his best game in a City shirt to date. Making some of his previous performances look as ineffective as they really have been and make people [and himself] hungry for what else can come in the future.

I think Grealish suffers from a lack of confidence more than anything. He overthinks football at times too. He’s forever watching clips of others and repeatedly tells us he knows his stats aren’t great.

I just wish he had a game where he scored and made a few goals, got MOTM (or its modern day equivalent) and we get to see a fully firing, confident version of Grealish.

Think that's a bit misleading really mate.
Sane was hell bent on going to Bayern and similar deal with Torres. I don't think it's fair to say Pep "shipped them off"

Not too sure about Nolito but players leave for all kinds of reasons, sometimes their wives hate Manchester or they get homesick.

There's probably a bit of debate to be had about the nature of Sané's departure but he was all but completely dropped for the back half of the 18-19 title-winning season. He started in less than 50% of games during the second half of the season, he was left on the bench for the FA Cup semi-final and played just 17 mins of the final, he didn't start the League Cup final and only came on for extra-time, and he was left out of the big CL knockout games against Spurs. He clearly wanted out, Pep stopped trusting him, and he would have left in 2019 were it not for that injury against Liverpool.

Torres never gained Pep's trust despite the early promise he showed. I think him breaking his foot just as he was about to become a regular starter probably did for him in the end. It happens. He spent his entire time at City basically in lockdown. So yeah, I'll retract Torres, that one's fair enough.

There's no debate about Nolito, though. He was absolutely shipped off. Pep stopped trusting him after that pointless red card against Bournemouth really early on in the season when we were 4-0 up and he decided to headbutt somebody. I think the absolute final straw was when we beat Burnley 2-1 at Turf Moor (Pep's prickly interview afterwards spoke volumes) - Nolito was booked for another headbutt on 74 mins and Pep hauled him off straight away. Nolito started two more games after that, out of a possible 26. He didn't start a game during the entire second half of the season and played a grand total of 39 minutes between February and May.

100% accurate and anyone that cannot see that is foolish.

He has done ok since he joined us, nothing more nothing less. Has he been poor? NO but he is so much better than we have seen, that's just the truth.

Nasri got very important goals and assists.

He doesn't need to do any of that, by default he is already the MOTM, all he has to do is just show up

I really don't want to comment here but I think Jack is possibly suffering from the British over indulgence attitude. He is getting very lippy and I know it sounds very cliché. but do your talking on the pitch. I also think people forget that he is young...
