Pep has to back him. If he dropped him it would look like he was being thrown under a bus. I don't think Grealish is playing terribly, I just think he is currently a step down from other players we have and expect a bit more from his performances. If he was picking people just on form he wouldn't be starting but the man management & motivational side is key at the moment which is why he had to pick him.

Hopefully he plays a blinder today.

Pep will back him only if Grealish follows his instruction to the letter, doesn't matter what anyone thinks.

If he thinks grealish played as he instructed, he will keep playing him in games.

Well done Jack, much better than Wednesday.

Better when he has freedom to come inside.

Very honest post match interview as well.

Much improved. The goal is nice but I just thought his overall performance was far better. As for the goal, he should be getting half a dozen tap-ins like that every season.

Played very well today. Keep it going Jack.

Though like the Wolves fans who booed him I do feel it was poor that he allowed himself to booted just below the ribs. Unacceptable.

Brilliant performance. Nobody doubts him as a Footballer, he's got unbelievable quality. Just needs to stop over thinking and just play his own game.
This all day , he's got bundles of natural ability , so he should just play his natural game and he needs to play with freedom and less regimented , take a few more risks and we will see the real JG.

Not sure if you guys got the post-match interview he did with USA TV, but said still struggling for full fitness. Short pre-season, injury, only one 90 min fans so far. Hoping England trip will get more mins in the legs.

Very encouraging that he knew he played poorly midweek and came back stronger - he was key to our fast start today. You can tell he was more confident with a couple of lovely back heels and seeing him run at defenders is a good sign for the future. Hopefully the doubters will see he remains a big part of the future - well played Jack.

I liked how he was making runs inside and not just standing on the touchline. Saw a few people claim he wasn't good enough for City this week and that's just not true. He has the ability it's about him using it and also Pep figuring out a way to get the most out of him.
