Why should Jack work his arse off for 70 mins each time so Doku can come on against tired defenders?

Why can’t Doku just play on the wing he was bought for when Mahrez left and Jack be allowed to shine?

Subbing Jack off every time he’s actually playing well is not going to help with his being “wound up” is it?
Because Pep does not have the ball to sub off Kev Foden or Bernado so he picks the nice guy.

It's disgusting the way ppl expect Jack to accept this sort of shitty treatment from Pep. Would they expect any of the other players to do so? Just vile.
Think vile might be pushing it! Thought it was a bit harsh him getting subbed though. He was our probably our best player. Obviously an argument that it worked but could definitely get them both in the team more often.

I dont know if Pep has any time for this in the summer with the euros.

But I was hoping he could work with Jack on getting him use to do a "Bernie-like" midfield role next to Rodri, so he can play with Doku, Bobb or Savio, other electric wingers.

He keeps the ball well and physically is pretty strong. He just needs 360 vision, theoretically he should be better than Stones in this role next to Rodri. Perhaps it would open his passing range that we saw in Villa when he had this more central role to playmake.

I think Nunes should also be molded into a similar role, both also have good ball carrying ability.

I think a switch to a 532 or 541, either like Inter or Leverkusen would help this team defensively as well, Grealish and the like would do well in a formatiom like that I think.
If Grealish were going to play centrally, it would have happened this season when we were light in that department. However, his best place is holding the flank. His tactical discipline and willingness to stay out wide is what creates space for others. Mahrez was another who sacrificed his desire to come inside (see some later Leicester performances) for the balance of the team. It’s a thankless task as too many aficionados are obsessed with goals and assists, not with how the team plays, but his return to the field has given us a natural balance that makes us much more effective.

Finding someone similar to do that job on the right is key, as the punishment Grealish receives (he’s often targeted because of his temperament, again contrast Mahrez) makes injuries and absence inevitable.

Only thing with is what do you do if Doku really kicks on next season? Say he his shooting improves so after skinning defenders he adds goals to his play? He’d have the left flank tied down. Would you not try Grealish somewhere else or just have him as Doku’s back up?

Because he's paid about 100k a week to do a job for the greatest team in club football, and to follow instructions from the best manager in world football. He does as Pep tells him or he's the next Ibrahimavic, Ronaldinho, Cancelo, ect , out the door and replaced by someone who does as their told.

R&R. Players cannot play 90 minutes every three days, so sometimes Grealish will start and sometimes Doku. If we sign Savio and utilise McAtee (as I advocate), then we would have the opportunity to have a pausing player on either flank (Grealish or McAtee) alongside a penetrating player on either flank (Doku or Savio), or even two penetrating players when games are open. For me, it's all about having the maximum number of attacking permutations and appreciating that we will not be immune from injuries and dips in form.
