What have been the consequences of this ‘mistake’?
Having a player on £300k a week sat on the bench for the best part of 3 seasons out of 4 after a £100m transfer is a hell if a price to pay.

Not being able to bring in better than him due to his contract?

Not the players fault if he’s not getting picked, just saying what the consequences have been.

Not so BREAKING NEWS : Walker played more minutes for City than Grealish this season.

Just loan him, let his value rise a little bit then sell & move on.

If the club pays you 300K a week, you should be a match winner not a bench warmer.
Club should hire people on this forum for sales pitch

I mean people here have made him the greatest footballer ever to the grace the game, if club isn’t able to pitch Grealish to suitors then people here should be give the chance

Surely we will recover entire £100m

People here gets it more right than people there.

I'd do it all again for a billion, never mind £100m. One of our immortals.

Left his boyhood club for us, gave us everything he could, and delivered our dreams.

A key member of our treble squad and one of our four-peat Premier League champions.

Thanks for everything, Jack.

He has pissed away his career. Literally. We won the treble with grealish playing lw but he hardly contributed. We won because of performances of others. The love some have for this bloke is baffling.

Mahrez, Alvarez, ake, stones, akanji contributed more yet they get no where near the love.

being left out of CWC squad apparently. another clear message to his agents.

was a bit stupid situation recently on OS they asked him as well on the CWC, he said how exciting it will be, once in a lifetime opportunity etc.

It would've been a surprise if he was in the squad.

I'm not sure how you can literally win a treble and also "piss away your career". If your team wins a treble, and if you start basically every game of the run to the treble, how can you have pissed your career away? Winning the Premier League, FA Cup, and European Cup in the same season is exactly why basically every lad from England plays football and Jack's one of only a handful of lads who've done it. When he looks back on his career all he'll have are incredible memories of the days in May/June 2023 when he became immortal.

Mahrez, Alvarez, and Laporte get just as much love from me. I can't speak for others, but every member of that treble-winning squad has earned - and deserves - all the love I can give them. It will never happen again so we need to be thankful to the guys who brought the three big pots home. That few weeks of supporting City were unreal. Like how winning the treble is what being a footballer is all about, those four weeks in May/June 2023 are the kind of days you've got to savour as football fans and celebrate the players who gave them to you.

Tbh I think Pep knows what he’s doing. Grealish is extremely hard to shift because we gave him £300k per week, so it requires a very clear message that there is no longer a future here and that he must ensure he finds a new club. Leaving him out of the squad achieves that. The way it’s turned a bit sour for Jack is really just a function of how incredibly difficult it is to get him to leave. Three hundred thousand pounds per week.
