#10 options

Which helps us if we attempt to to get him back. If his form had carried on his price would have been too silly.

Hahahah there's some great logic there mate I will grant you that, but maybe his form fell off because City knew he had it in him for it to fall off.

One half of the start of the season he's smashing the premier league up and next he's just not doing anything that's 108 days without a goal. If he was Rashford he'd be getting both barrels on here.

Pep is gone in max 2 years. Go for Cherki now. If not him then Nico Paz. There are other options but since they ain’t players who would shut up 24/7 and play with freedom we won’t go for them

The problem with Cherki is whilst his numbers are very good, the game gets played on his terms.

Not a chance do Khaldoon, Txiki and Viana allow that, let alone Pep.

As bad as Foden?
Just about, except it was all season for Foden. Palmer is a good player better than his recent form, so is Foden. Not seen that much of him to be fair but think Bobb has much more potential as a City 10 than Palmer of Foden, who I think would be more of an 8 than a 10.
When Palmer was at City I never thought he had what it takes, and was shocked by his first year at Chelsea, but do think Bobb has more.

I watched Palmer score beautifully goals in the academy for a while and I always say him as a Mahrez heir but I knew he was 10 at heart but when I heard he wanted to leave even after Mahrez I just thought he was being dumb. Then when he started scoring all those goals I was so confused cuz he never ever scored a prem goal for us. I’ve vowed to never be impatient again which is why I’m not gonna give up on Doku x Savio.

Genuinely can’t express how much I love watching him. It’s like watching Hazard x Neymar in one player. We actually need a maverick with ego. We’ve got too many nice players that won’t be like “ give me the fkn ball and I’ll win us this match” all the greats had it. Ask Thierry, Ronaldo etc they just had an ability they knew nobody else had. Don’t see why the club is avoiding him. There’s no risk for his price.

Jack Gaughan said yesterday Wirtz was our only option and now the club will go with what we have in Foden and co.
This is a wild misreading of what he actually wrote

Will the club look to sign a different No 10 if Wirtz isn’t available? Like a Rayan Cherki or Xavi Simons? (@Dejwirtz, X)

At this point, Wirtz is the only player in that position who we’re aware that there is absolute concrete interest in. City could pivot if the deal doesn’t go their way, yet obviously do have existing options within the squad.
Phil Foden and Omar Marmoush are the two most obvious examples of who can fill that spot, while there is Oscar Bobb as well. Quite a lot of the summer business does feel up in the air right now and somewhat dependent on outgoings.

If Jack Grealish – who Tottenham and Newcastle have looked at and the Saudi Pro League clubs are obviously keen on – remains at the club then that area might even look a little crowded were he to be utilised more centrally.
But those are big ifs given Grealish has started one Premier League game (against doomed Leicester City) since December 21. A parting of the ways might be best for both sides at this stage, although City will want (and need) value from a permanent transfer after shelling out £100million in 2021. And no, I’m not going down an amortisation/book-keeping rabbit hole.

Midfield-wise, recent quotes from both Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva suggest that the pair expect to still be playing for Pep Guardiola next season.
