Looked really sharp. Would love to see him start against West Ham, but might be too soon

I don’t understand when fans say “it might be too soon” when the man has been in the team sheet for a few weeks now. Should it take three months before he is fit to start a match? If Pep is leaving him out of starting elevens for tactical reasons, then all well and good but I struggle to understand why we should doubt his being able to start a match at this time.
