Should have been played in twice within 5 mins of coming on. Strikers need service.
There were a few times against Fulham that I noticed that he wasn't making those runs into the box when we were attacking too often (despite being told 1000x that's precisely what he does). He did on occasion, but so does whoever else we have there (although it's less noticed by us when they do it). But other players did make those runs, and Aguero would hang back. Which is precisely what happens when whoever plays there has played there.
It's clear that tactically Aguero and Jesus have had to make big shifts to their games this season. As I've been parroting for a while to an empty void, Jesus has obviously changed his game and never normally plays as deep as he has done this season. Aguero has had to make the same shift in playing style. Aguero is operating deeper than he has ever done at City and he's having to spend more time as a decoy than an actual target.
It's going to be VERY difficult I think for Aguero to get up to full speed anytime soon. Fitness issues and lack of sharpness are one thing, but on top of that he's having to adjust to a completely new way of playing. He's become increasingly poacher like since 18/19, so now having to do a complete 180 will take some effort.
I still think Aguero's got enough quality to work in this new system of ours, but for that to happen it's going to be really important that he gets his fitness back up to the level it needs to be. That's what is going to get him the chance to stick around into next season where the hard work can pay off. So if I were Pep I wouldn't be rushing to get him back into the team before he's physically ready. If we're desperate for a goal he's always going to be available off of the bench.
I think both options were valid for Kev.De Bruyne should've definitely played him in that time he broke forward. Baffling decision to pass to Mahrez when Kun was the obvious ball.

Yeah it’s most likely nothing, as these things are very common in the game.I suspect a mountain is set to be made of this molehill.
Maybe so, but every player has moments where they're ignored despite being obviously available. We are playing deliberately slower than we've ever done before since Aguero got injured, so passes that might have seemed sensible prior to his injury are now too risky.
Or maybe they really were being dicks to him, I hope not but I can't exactly say definitively in good faith one way or another.
