100 million...

Re: Re: 100 million...

If we offloaded Tevez, De Jong, Savic, Lescott or Kolo, we would also have to make an additional investment of like £50mill. We would also have to sell, i don't know, someone from Nasri/Milner/Balotelli/Dzeko.

If we payout 100m in the Summer you can say goodbye to FFP; we need tweaks not a re-vamp so for me we should be carefull on how much we spend now and start spending more wisely!

Not forgetting giving in to big player wages!!

plus the aguero/nasri money will be included in next yrs figures so we do have to be very careful. We need to sell to spend for FFP purposes.

I personally think that all 3 address all our needs, we all are aware of the players most likely to leave and I think we can realistically assume we would garner around 70 mill for them...

Martinez - a left footed CB, comfortable with the ball at his feet, strong and not lacking in pace - can also operate in a 'busquets' role - which is where RM deployed Yaya first half on Thursday.

Muniain - Fearless right footer with pace to burn, could be the player we all hope Nasri to be.

Llorente - Class, quality first touch and movement around the 18 yard box.

Martinez is the only one I'd take out of the three, undoubtedly quality players but then again so was Dzeko at Wolfsburg and he just doesn't seem to fit. Have to be selective now and buy players that could enhance our current system rather than not quite work and become another expensive misfit at the expense of a Football Manager style transfer policy.

In red, I think you have just described Jan Vertonghen, but gave him a Spanish name :p Martinez is right footed.

Muniain is fast, but I wouldn't describe him as "with pace to burn."

Llorente is Dzeko in a Spanish uniform.

I think all the above players are good, but they looke better because they play for Athletic. If you switch them to City, their effectiveness will diminish greatly. Muniain didn't look half as good playing for the U21 team. Martinez and Llorente look better because of how Athletic plays. We don't play like this. So they will look diferent here.

I wouldn't spend 100 million on those three.

NO what would be the point the squad needs one or two players, not at 100 million though Martinez would be good, but who do you drop ?

Llorente is a good player but Martinez would be brilliant. Can play everywhere, is only 23 years old and when you see there's another AFCON in January/February 2013...
