Diddy,100 press ups, none stop,is way out of the reach of 99% of the population.

As posted,i would say anything between 15-30 is the average.

I can perform about 75 none stop.

Practice quickly improves you though.

Never knew so few could do it possibly my response is naive as I am surrounded by physically active people.
If I had to push something of my own body weight 100 times a day i would invent something to do it for me or buy a stacker truck. then again, I am married and do not have to impress half mad bints with my feats of totally useless physical capabilities

Hahaha I actually find it fun the mad bints are just a lucky bonus.

Had a surge of energy and decided I'd give it a go.
Got to 50 and flopped (and these where proper nose nearly to floor ones) reckon i could squeeze out another 10 if pushed, but that is still 40 short.
45yrs..11st.

Bet you if you did these every day in a month you would be able to do it or be very close.

is that a Peter Sutcliffe quote?

Seeing this thread makes me wabt to do it again. As I said, it got really hard at twenty thirty reps or so. I forget how many sets, but definitely more than nine/ten.

I never tried doing as many as I could while I was doing it, but I still doubt I could have done 100 non stop. Seventy maybe.

About 2 years ago I was well into bootcamps and fitness training (until I got ill) - we used to do 20-30 pressups (amongst others) as a warm up, and sometimes 100+ to finish off. Took me a few months to get into it, but it was easy enough with the practise.

And, despite it helping me lose weight and get fit, I was still clinically obese whilst doing these press-ups.
