THE TALK CLUB APP

The free Talk Club app is now available to download for iOS and Android. It gives individuals and businesses the tools to check-in with how they are out of 10. This helps in measuring and improving mental health by putting a number on how you feel and a safe framework to start to improve your numbers

We lost two blues off Bluemoon that we know about so suicide is something you can never tell who is contemplating leaving us.

Probably as suitable thread to post as any.

Saw a clip of a man in distress on a motorway bridge. Clip I saw was yesterday so guessing it was recent. Anyway, trucker sees what’s going on and positions his rig in such a way he was able to climb on top, hold the man and talk to him until the police arrived. He was checked into hospital that evening and I hope he got/gets the treatment he needs.

That truckie deserves a pint.

1000022073.jpgIt's a big problem over here. Particularly among men in the 20 - 50 age range. Every year (in may, I think?), a charity called Pieta stages a walk at the end of night, around 4:15 am, at venues all over the country called Darkness into Light (a self explanatory title). It's 5km long and aims to conclude at dawn that morning. Participants get friends and family etc to sponsor them. They raise funds for local support organisations, providing counselling etc. They do fantastic work. Just a shame that the government can't put in adequate funding into the area.

If you're feeling suicidal, please do as others have said on here, and talk to someone. Family, friends, work colleagues, doctor, priest; it doesn't matter who. You're not alone.

A few websites in that article PF you okay today ?

Still suffering terribly to be honest and still waiting for help which they said will be "soon" .
I'm doing weights and long walks but it's just not enough.
I could go private I suppose but that would wipe my savings out pretty quickly.

To be honest I have considered screaming or crying in public as a way of possibly getting attention that would lead to quicker treatment
As it is I'm surprised I keep it together in public because inside I feel like crying and begging for help because my depression is so acute

You must get an appointment with your GP. or go to the walk in centre in Ashton. PF As they can discuss ECT and other treatments with you, I know the NHS is in a bad place at the moment but you are just as important of their time as anybody else.

When they ask how are you tell the truth, a death in the family especially your Dad it’s going to take it out of you. Let yourself be miserable it’s okay you’ve got a damn good reason to feel depressed, it took me years to get over my Dad and there isn’t a day goes by that I don’t think of him.

Most Dads are very special people, learning to live without them isn’t easy.

One of the things about this awful condition is the absolutely tiny amount of energy you have to seek help even using the phone is a massive task
