First decent game for the season fwiw, but really pleasing to see.

You kinda agree why some think he's poor then tell us we've been wrong all the time.
Wasn't so much what he did with the ball today. He actually covered and kept position much better.

A coming of age performance, that. I like him but I didn’t have him down as a pocket-master number 10! Fantastic performance.
 
He was unplayable today. In some respects he was the difference between the two teams. They couldn't stop him and he made those first 2 goals, almost assisted a 3rd.

Even with a far superior spine running through the team, you need that spark, that player who will take risks and run at the opposition.

He made it happen today.
 
Superb. Looked like being a tough game ahead until he got us the breakthrough. Completely different game without him.
 
Just watched it again, I loved the way he held off the defender who was climbing all over him with his upper body strength, and played a perfectly waited pass for Haaland to score, absolutely fantastic play.
 
based on that first goal - Any potential in trying him a bit more on the right hand side? With the way he skims defenders, it would certainly help his crossing and end product to be on his favorite foot

You can't please everyone. Guy sat near me was slagging him second half because he got tackled (fouled) by DeLigt. Two assists so far today I said to him...
 
I've complained about it not looking like he's been coached since he came to us. Well those words were stuffed down my neck a bit today. Consistency the key now
 
Well I shouted what the fuck is he doing in this side of the pitch then he crossed in for Foden! Ye I shut the fuck up after that. However I still think he shoukd be on the right.
