I don't think he minds being a left back in this team because let's be honest it's far from a traditional role he plays.
He's often involved further up the pitch and we benefit from him being a midfielder by trade in those instances.
I don't think we need to be spending any of our budget on this position, there's more than enough viable options in the squad already.
Top player who should play all the big games.

Said to a mate at half time we need to swap Cancelo for Zinny. Mainly because he was on a yellow and I could PSG targeting him and falling over waving imaginary cards. Whilst Cancelo is better in the attacking third Zinny appears to give the ball away less as he takes less risks and just keeps the ball moving. His positional play has also got better which helps as well when we are defending. Would start Cancelo against Palace to keep Zinny fresh for the second leg

Obviously we were a completely different team in the 2nd half but Zinny helped to balance everything. Very impressive.

Agree
with zinny on , a left footed left back , our whole shape clicked and we looked much more solid defensively and also from an attacking point of view

he is my first choice left back and cancelo and Walker should fight for right back position and last night rightly Walker got the nod

Last summer I was firmly of the opinion he would always be an attacking midfielder filling in at left back and he should move on, we should keep mendy, and bring in a first choice left back.

Zinchenko has completely won me over. I'm cramming humble pie into my mouth and asking for seconds and thirds.

Get rid of mendy, waive any transfer fee, don't care. Make zinchenko first choice, bring in an established left back to win the place off him. As we know, it takes a season before any new signing will be putting in consistent place winning performances, and I'll be more than happy with zinchenko next season whilst his competition gets up and running.

I'd like to see him own the position a bit more and have some swagger about it.

We don't know what he's like day in/day out but I feel like he still gives off the impression of someone filling in, doing a job for the side, happy to be here. Has a bit of a youth player vibe about him when he's 24 now and been around for a long time.

Last night was the kind of performance that should boost his ego a bit, make him realise he's not just filling in, he's an important player for the side and in the system we play, as good a left back as we'll find.

I think playing with a bit more ownership of the role and a bit more confidence is the last piece of the jigsaw to fall into place to take him up another level.

I posted the other day I have a blind spot and can’t see why others think he has had a good season. Last night he was simply excellent, his passing and positioning superb. Well done lad
