We can drink where we want. I go there every month with the missus and have a great time. I never detected any feeling that I was infringing on someone's space.

Why don't we have the meet somewhere on or around Canal Street? Seriously. Why not? It'll make a change.

I think there'll be people who won't want to go there - I know it shouldn't make a difference but I think some people will just not be comfortable.

Plus it's the Gay Village, why would a group of heterosexual men and women want to go there? I don't get it to be honest, it's just not somewhere I ever think of going for a drink. If i was with a few gay mates who wanted to go for a few drinks fair enough, but to organise a meet there doesn't sound right.

Couple of my gay friends are pissed off with the space they used to 'have' to go to to get any peace being taken over by straight people who see it as a bit of a voyeuristic opportunity to watch the lesbians and gay men going about their business. I'm sure that at some point someone would have had too much to drink and think that a 'come here love, I'll turn you straight' sort of comment would be amusing to direct at a lesbian couple!

Maybe with a few drinks in you, you may loose your inhibitions :-)
