I don't know if this has been mentioned but I thought it was pretty important to say that 12 years ago tomorrow, City beat Gillingham on penalties in the epic Second Division play-off Final.

Although it was in the second division it was still one of the best moments I've experienced being a City fan.

Who can forget Dickov's goal....

was an unbelievable day. was crying at 1-0 and 2-0. if it wasnt for THAT goal fuck knows where we would be today. was thinking before the fa cup final. it was 13 years ago that we played each other at the britannia and both teams went down to division 2. shows how far both teams have come since. and fair play to stoke aswell.

I know, I remember being 2-0 down and having the slow realisation of about to be having another season in Division 2 and going to away games at York again....but then as you say, THAT goal...

I still cry when i watch that game, i have never ever been at a match that had so many different emotions that when the penalty was saved i felt like i was gonna explode

That Weaver penalty save and celebrarory run, magical moments as are Dickov's goal, one of the many things that make City very special

Still remember it like yesterday!! The emotion of horlick scoring and not giving a shit to dickov scoring to smashing the living room light to the tears when weaver saved guy butters pen!! Never ever been so drained from 1 game of football!!! History was changed that day I'm sure of it!!

I remember thinking that. If you'd said to Stoke and City fans the day we both dropped into tier three

"In just over a decade's time, you'll be facing each other in the FA Cup final, having both already qualified for European football"

Unbelievable! Remember it like it was yesterday and now we can say we're FA Cup winners and watch players like David Silva and Carlos Tevez every week and ready to go to world class stadiums in the Champions League!

I think it's time to get the video out and watch it again tomorrow!

it was so important.
I saw an interview with bernstein over that summer where he said if we had stayed in div 2 then we would have ended up in administration

We relegated York a few weeks earlier so I doubt it.

We were on such good form we would have got promoted the season after anyway was my thought, 2nd half of the season was great.

For me this was the best city game ever.

1.Gillingham.Crying my eyes out when loosing, then when we were winning
2.Fa cup semi vs Utd. really didnt think we would win this game
3.Fa cup final win vs stoke. 35 years
4.3-1 win vs utd at mainroad.The goat game
5.2-1 away win at old trafford.Benjani
