Let all remember, that before his injury he was pretty much as pivotal to our results as Diaz/Stones now are. He is a top CB, one of the best in the world when fit, and we are lucky to have him in our squad.

We are ONE injury away from needing him (or Ake) to step up, just one, so he is still very important to us.

Don't tell us that... Tell him! He's the one sending cryptic messages before a game.

Every player who's not starting should not be happy. And their resolve should be to get better and await their opportunity.

And suppose it doesn't come, then have a talk with management about possibly moving in the summer.

Yes! We need you and want you. We'd love you to stay. That goes without saying. But if you are not happy, then you are not happy. Understood.

But sending passive aggressive threats prior to a game is just poor. Period!

I have to admit Dax, I haven't had the time to delve deeper into what's going on, knowing nothing more than the following quote:

"At the moment I'm here, I'll play today, we'll see what happens. I'm happy at #mcfc, I always thought I'd spend many years here. I hope that will happen. I will see what happens between now and the end of the season but for now I'm happy."

I honestly don't see much harm in those words, - if any. In fact, most of it is positive; he's happy here, always though he'd stay here for many years, and that he hopes that will be the case.
He's getting fitter, better and seems to show both will and resolution.

Are there threats from him I'm not aware of, or any other "cryptic" messages? If so I'll most likely change my mind about him and my take on his character, but I haven't heard nor read anything about such things, so for now I'll stay away from attacking him.

Fair enough! As I reread what was said from your post, it sounds a lot less dickish and cryptic than I originally thought it was.

So my apologies to Laporte if I read too much into his statements. Like the cool kids say, I didn't mean to get all up in my feelings.

Now go on about your business being back to World Class and don't mind me :D

Nope.you were spot on with your initial assesment,no need to back track.we ve seen this type of player statememt time and again over the years,a hint of a disgruntled defender..who wouldnt be ,he is too good ,on his day to be a squad player,.......but the bar is extremely high at our club ...its not like we,re conceding 3 goals a match ;)

As much as people are loving the Stones purple patch which has lasted maybe 4 months this guy did the business for 2 years. Would rather let Stones go than LaPorte, he is the business. But that is just me.

I think the LaPorte Diaz partnership would be something to behold.

Hes our best defender and was dropped for one mistake .

Be interesting to see what happens Dias now . If he doesn't get dropped I can see someone being very angry
