14 | Nico Gonzalez - 2025/26

Donn't thinks so, Pep will play him when he's ready to play him.

Will he? If I’m Nico I’m looking at not getting many minutes during the last end of the season and Club World Cup. Mostly on the bench even when Rodri was not fit.
Rodri is now back and even when he was taken off Nico didn’t get minutes.

It’s a World Cup year he needs to play to try and get in the Spain squad. He cost 50 million he was a stand out player for Porto, now he can’t get off the bench.

You can see why Mendes would put a brief to Romano to try and force something. A reaction from Pep or City and City have reacted with that brief.

How can anyone who has watched Khusanov to date conclude he is not good enough? Based on what? The fact that he is young, strong, really fast, good in the air, fearless? There's a reason he's considered one of Europe's best young CBs with a really high ceiling. I'm to believe he's not good enough. That's absolute bullshit! If Pep doesn't rate him, and I say IF because I find it almost impossible to believe Pep doesn't, there needs to be an explanation because it won't be down to footballing abilities.

I've not seen anything to confirm he's definitely brilliant in a possession based setup. Pretty sure we play differently to Lens.

He could come good, but he's got a lot of learning to do still.

He's not getting in that Spain squad unless he plays great and they have maybe 2 or 3 injuries. I'm sure he'd like to though.

Rumours going around saying he's off.
Strange really I thought he looked decent when he played.

in the early parts of pep's reign we had fernandinho silva kdb gundo bernardo are midfield used to be stacked and was able to accommodate them all you need to believe in yourself that you are good enough which i think nico is definitely good enough maybe it's agent talk to get city and pep to give him assurance
Maybe it is agent talk after all, just curious what did they tell Nico about his game time back in January. I think he definitely got less game time than he expected.

It might be the player himself looking for the move rather than the club wanting him out. I bet he is concerned and bemused by his lack of minutes.

Nunes starts at RB. Kovacic was a cog rotational backup and was fantastic last season. Phillips was a mistake, granted.
And Nico just got here 6 months ago. Fans really need to chill with the dramatics.

Nunes starts at RB because he's not good enough to play in his natural position. Kovacic was not "fantastic" last season by any stretch.

I want Nico G to stay and think he's got plenty to offer, my concern is that whilst Pep has the old guard they'll play at his expense.

He's better on the ball NOW than Dias or Akanji...

It wouldn’t surprise me if he wanted out, World Cup year going up no point sitting on a bench if you want to play.
