14 | Nico Gonzalez - 2025/26

Sorry, not for me …. why we didn’t sign Zubimendi especially at £20m cheaper I’ll never know.
Zubimendi had the option of going to arsenal or the dippers and being their starting 6, what makes you think he would have been interested in being Rodri's backup over that? Rodri is clearly not fit, yet Pep still won't give Nico a run of games.

Nico Gonzalez has a habit of giving fouls away that don’t appear to be his fault - it was him who’s ‘foul’ that lead to the penalty
But I’ve no real complaints - if you put your foot that high in Europe then you’re asking for it

But generally I like him, I think

Solid performance.. never a penalty in a million years.

Watched that replay.. Diers face hits his foot, not his foot hits face.

Ridiculous to say that dropped points is his fault when the ref is inventing ways to take them away from City like giving that free kick in the first place.
Can't believe how fucking insanely poor that ref was. Booking Donnarumma for time wasting was shocking when we were in the acendency, he hadn't even warned him prior to booking him, and booking Savio after he gives the free kick to us. He didn't have a clue what he was doing.

Hasn’t played enough to evaluate him, but it’s concerning how often he’s either wrong side of his man or wrong side of the ball, which leaves him challenging from precarious positions. When your not match sharp, that’s ill-advised.

You mean when he headed clear the volley that was heading to goal?
Absolute nonsense of a post.

If he can learn when to foul and get his timing better he'll be very good for us. There's great improvement in the last 3 games.

He made a great entrance, I don't blame him for the penalty or the free kick. As Erling Haaland so aptly said, we don't deserve the victory, and he's right. A team that only plays 45 minutes and behaves like a small team by not playing the second half to widen the gap. On the contrary, they manage the score against a weak Monaco team. This team doesn't deserve to come away with the three points; they are too complacent and lack ambition, the opponent will end up punishing you, that will teach us.

It was not a foul. Their player dived.
