Proper player, as alluded to earlier in this thread we'd be all kinds of fucked without him. The work he's getting through is crazy. We need a live body in there next to him in January to help him out. Preferably someone with pace as that's the one area he's lacking.

I'd love for Rodri to be next to him, but I'm concerned we'll get one playing to rest the other for most of the season until Rodri has another complication from being overplayed again. Need to get someone else in there as well so Nico can properly rest and Rodri can be a sub option until he's able to handle more minutes.

You have to wonder how Pep can think a midfield 3 of Stones, Bernie and Reijnders is a good idea. Bernie and Reijnders had been fucking atrocious in the 2nd half and Nico was the only one, who was somewhat holding our midfield together.

Whenever we take him off, we capitulate. It’s that simple. As long as Rodri isn’t fit, leaving Nico out is football suicide of the highest order. We’re hanging on because of him, and without another physical monster in midfield to support him, we’re asking for trouble every single match.
