I'd love for us to go for them, they really wobbled when Bellamy and co did in the Hughes days, but I just cannot see BM taking any risks. Another 0-0 stalemate is what will happen.

I think the "risk" would be to not have a go at them. A huge part of the game plan fergie has relies on teams giving them the upmost respect and sitting back, thus allowing them to always play on their own terms on the front foot. We have the talent to take them on at their own game now, and it would be a crime not to try and beat them fair and square. We showed very little balls i felt in the home game. Time to change tactics in the derby and put pressure on their weakness from crosses, set pieces and generally not giving them any time on the ball.

I had a look at the fixtures and this doesn't really look optimistic but highly realistic...you have the squad who can win in all these matches just if you go at it with that attitude...the only away match that could be a problem is that in the suburbs of your city...and that is more a mental challenge....quality, you've got enough...

Me too! It annoys me when people say they'd rather lose than draw. If we'd drawn every game we've lost this season we'd be only a point behind United and 6 points ahead of Arsenal in 3rd. So a point's worth a bit more than fuckall, approximately 1 point more in fact.

I know what you mean, but the other way of looking at it is that if you win 1 game, you can lose 2 and still end up with more points than if you drew 2 games and only lost 1.

Wins are worth going for because the reward for winning (+2 points) is much greater than the penalty for losing (-1 points).

I'd settle for 4TH BUT AN ABSOULUTE MUST THIS SEASON IS A TROPHY.

Building a squad that wins regular trophies has to start somewhere and i agree we should aim for the title but not at the expense of a trophy as i really think the title has gone.

i think you have it the wrong way around, absolute must is 4th place , and id be happy, ecstatic in fact with a trophy . but 4th must be the priority
