Pulled out a few of the old tricks last night to gain us free kicks and so on to release some pressure, did well.

Game changed when he got more time on the ball. Kev and Fod will get the plaudits, but for 20 mins Dortmund swarmed him. As soon as that stopped (either by us playing or them easing off) he ran the show.
I really dont know why more teams dont give it a go and try and get at our pivot rather than sit back. If we struggle its with teams that press our defensive mids and run like mad. Give him space to breathe and theres noone better in that position.

Was brilliant last night. Finding pockets to get on the ball and help us play out and find space. Always looking to be a sideways pass to help the full backs switch play, and drove forwards a couple of times to force Dortmund to come onto him and release space for others.
Defensively was always in good areas to win headers or pick up the second ball. A mature performance. He'll be a key player for us to beat PSG.

Thought he was poor on the ball in the first half. Again, was quite easy to close down and force bad passes out of him.
But he didn’t let that affect him and he worked his bollocks off all game (over 12k covered!)
As always, exactly the player we need in his position when we’re winning. He’s very much suited to dictating the tempo from deep when the psychology of the team performance changes when we’re winning and not having to chase the game. Our forwards can sit back a little more and not have to press as a forward unit in front of him leaving him exposed to breaks or to counter presses when he has the ball and there’s a gap between him and the forwards.
Still young enough to improve on the things he’s not good at yet though. Overall a good game!

not as effective on his own without someone like Cancelo to help him, Gundogan did as good a job as I could have hoped.
Think if he had a Bellingham running round for him he'd shine more.

I think he's struggling, we're too easy to play against in midfield and he made some really poor passes at times today.
