He’s absolutely nowhere near what we need in that role.

I want to say I'm shocked he wasn't taken off but sadly I'm not shocked in the slightest. I can't wait for the derby when United cut him out of the game an their whippets up front are free to run at our defence

for the cash spent on him, we need to try convert him to a back up CB or ship him off in a swap deal.

Yaya was 34 when the league caught up with him. What excuse does our 24 year old record signing(at the time of purchase) have??
Does he need an excuse? its not his fault is it.

Anyone who had watched the lad for 30seconds knew what we were getting. Now, you could argue the scouts, txiki and pep fucked this one but thats not on Rodri.

Whislt I agree in part, we can't have a 60 mil midfield player bing 4th/5th choice centre half.

He's unsellable but the alarming thing is that there appears to be no will to off-load him. We haven't been good buyers over the past few years but it looks like that is changing with Dias and Torres but Plodri and Mahrez have to go down as just bad buys and we need to wear it

You are right, it is not his fault he is shit and this isn't personal. Maybe I should have worded it differently - what is the management's excuse for buying someone who looks like a 34yr old Yaya for 60mil. Might as well have given Yaya an extra 12 months and looked to bring Fernando and Javi Garcia back..

That is a bit harsh but fair enough lol

I think it's conclusive now that neither he nor Gundogan are good enough - end of story IMO.

It's clear that Pep has some kind of fetish for slow and ponderous centre midfielders, but hey, who's a pleb like me to question? He's a genius and infallible and all that.

Some people on this thread seriously believe he is good on the ball.

United wouldn’t even touch this lad and that says everything. Unusable and unsellable.

A horrid signing.
