You've somehow made the incredibly tedious "He was only good because the opposition weren't" argument even more fucking boring by trying to get it in before the game.
Except that really wasn’t the point at all.

Do carry on being bored by arguments nobody is making though.

The point was to try and discredit any positive performance by Rodri tomorrow. As if being able to play very well against bus parking lump it merchants isn’t something we absolutely need in this squad because it’s 70% of our opposition
Firstly that’s not what you just said, “he was only good because the opposition weren’t” is what you said, I said nothing about the quality of Burnley or lack of as the case may be.

70% of the league play hoof ball? Have you travelled 10 years into the past or something? Burnley and sheff United are the only two that do it with any regularity. If your very dated view of the league was actually true Rodri would be the most important player in the squad, but it’s not. Not by a long shot.

He will have a good game tomorrow if Burnley play their usual style and we’ll get people pointing out he played well against Burnley throughout the next few months of anonymity.
He's had 3 good games on a row now. Burnley will make it 4. But Riddle me this, which other player had had 3 good games on a row this season?

I'll wait....

I would say 70% is about right about the style of play teams play against City. They play more open in most other games but against us and Liverpool will park the bus big time.

Look at Leicester and Spurs, two of the more attacking teams in the league, spent huge portions of the game against us with 11 behind the ball just hoofing it clear.
