I hope Spain rest him (or doesn't call him at all, they qualified already) because Rodri is vital for the next 5-6 matches (Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, Leipzig, Villa). Any of those matches without Rodri would be extremely hard.
Also, between Chelsea-Liverpool-Tottenham, he can only get 1 yellow. If we have Rodri at his best for these matches, I am certain we will open a gap with the other contenders on PL.

Him and bernardo were victims of peps shit tactics, left us wide open following instructions. Picked up a pretty lazy yellow which now means he is 1 away from another suspension. No chance he makes it until our 19th game without one. A booking against the dippers seems inevitable which would mean he misses spurs, if he avoids that villa away is the next one, none of those games are ideal to lose him. Ideally you'd want him to serve it for Luton or palace but seems unlikely to make it.
I just watched the highlights back and he was all over the place positionally. Pep definitely did him no favours with his tactics but one thing that Fernandinho had over Rodri IMO was positional awareness. He was almost always in the perfect spot and aware of where the opposition attackers were. With some of those goals last night, Rodri looked completely oblivious to who was around him. He's far from the only person deserving of blame.
