Stating the bleeding obvious , my reference was to pressure of playing games every week and the performance levels and standards he has set for a world class midfield player.A lot of people think that a player gets a "rest" when they're injured, while that is far from true. Healing from an injury involves an adapted exercise regime and when a player has healed, he's far from match fit either. Takes a lot of time and effort to get up to speed. And even then they lack match rhythm. In his case, going by previous injuries, it takes him more time than others. In an interview a few years back, I think he actually said that he was just as, if not more tired, from working to get back to full match fitness than he was after games before the injury. Granted, his injury then was worse.
That's why I said around the injury - i.e. before and after.Hope you are right but his form was hardly great before the injury.
