Look the bloke’s been absolutely brilliant for us, but he’s the only “key” player over the past 4 seasons that when he’s been injured, it’s not had any real negative effect on us... and in some occasions, we’ve actually got better.

kdb doesnt fit the way the team is playing at the moment or more accurately doesnt fit into a midfield 3 along with rodri and Gundogan.....that combination at the start of the season saw some very poor performances and since his return to the lineup, the performance level has been dropping.

This is not purely down to KDB but more a question of the combination of the right 3 in midfield and the right 3 in front of them.....Sterling ahs been well fo it lately and Mahrez is just an enigma who occasionally turns up and then next game doesnt.

Bernardo and Foden need to start

Harsh on gundogan but IF KDB plays then its either at the expense of Gundogan or Rodri (with GUndogan taking his spot) - Im not sure that works however. In the set up above, Bernardo swap places with KDB as well

Don't you remember the 17/18 season where Kevin stood up when Silva had the problems with his newborn child. It was the 100 point season mainly due to KDB.

To get the best out of KDB you need to surround him with proper footballers who are on his wavelength. Our best team performance this season was Chelsea away when KDB, Foden and Bernie were unplayable, I was worried when I saw our teamsheet today. If Foden and Bernie are fit they should play.

Don't think I've ever seen Kev perform as bad as he did this afternoon. Played like he had COVID. Five yard passes weren't even being completed.

Kdb should play the mahrez role on the right mahrez been great last couple of games problem is he can only play one position!! We have Foden Kdb who can play in a few positions. When we play mahrez pep will never switch him with Sterling because he knows mahrez can’t play left! It’s weird he teaches Foden to play multiple positions but we have mahrez who in theory is one dimensional as one position player great at it for sure.

KDB and Gundo are also very much opposites of each other. So many of Gundo’s goals this season have come at the end of a patient passing move, and he is fantastic at making late runs into the box.

KDBs current insistence on firing the ball in behind as early as possible prevents Gundo from even getting up the pitch in time. Combine that with then leaving us exposed for the counter as you say, and we have a bit of a problem.

I thought he’d finally leant but tonight was a worry. We should win the European Cup because most the big teams are very average again this year like last
