Sometimes we don't even acknowledge how big player he truly is..

P.S But let's not forget that all these highlights he made via playing as a False9 :D

That's what I was talking about, you can't keep loosing balls like that..

Midfield needs 100% of ball possession, concentration, first touches and everything that makes those routine build-ups successful even against the hardest teams.

KDB lacks that skill, needs more freedom and space and against Arsenal or other teams, that's not possible.

But as False9 no doubts, he is our best player..

He should be our false 9. Even having a bad match, he was by far the one who created more danger:
1. Cross to Gabriel Jesus header.
2. Shoot that went very close to the upper right corner.
3. Great pass to Sterling who was alone inside the box, but miscontrolled the ball.
4. Great pass creating a counterattack and Sterling's shoot went out.
5. Great cross to Rodri in our 2nd goal.

IF u rewatched the last game against the Bees, KDB gave ball away cheaply several times - but the difference was Ferna Grealish Foden all worked very hard to recovery and clean up for him.
Today they are all not on the pitch.

But statistics aren't saying that one of his losses in the midfield - cost us the only goal today..

Bernardo could have lost during the attack or near to the opponents box, but near our box - I think KDB lost it more..

It wasn't about work ethic today.

Brentford were pinned back and we were rather patient and whatnot. When De Bruyne gave the ball away we were usually in a strong position to win it back.

Arsenal made the game stretched and so when De Bruyne lost it we couldn't throw numbers into the press without getting obliterated on the counter.

Oh yeah, that's why I said he should be playing false 9. He is too direct, but creates a lot of danger constantly specially in close games. He is(with Foden) the only player that can score from anywhere, and his crosses and passes always creates at least 2-3 good chances per game

That's without a question..

As a False9 he is still our best player..

But midfield needs Rodri-Bernardo-Gundo trio, especially in these big matches..

And that's why - we need midfielders more in the transfer market, than attackers.

The threat is always there, the winner comes from his ball, but it does feel like other areas of his game are sloppier than they were. Hopefully more minutes irons that out.

His recent performances have been nowhere near good enough to justify a starting place imo.

People were slaughtering Sterling on here for performances better than Kev has turned in this week. He gets a very easy ride from fans and media pundits/writers.

Hes just soooo sloppy with the ball. crazily i dont think hes a starter in midfield if everyone is fit.

Tricky situation with Kev. He is lacking sharpness and could do with a few more games under the belt but needs carefully managing and is looking burnt out
