Was electric for us for years. A staple in the pep era for me. Pity to see his career drop off like that and he's only about 28? No where near contention to make the euros.

Good to see Joe Cole really bigging him up after the match.
I tend to say pass judgment on how players rank once they have finished at a club or their career is over but I don’t think Kev really needs to do anything more for me to conclude he is our best ever player and the EPL’s best ever. In fact, he is so good that he might even be the best (attacking) midfield player ever to grace the English game.
He could do with playing and bossing a whole UCL Final to cement his legacy.

I thought it was a tactical decision before the game, pretending he’s ill and then throwing him on for the last 30 minutes against tired legs with Madrid not expecting him to come on.
But the fact he wasn’t used for the full game probably does indicate he’s ill.
Hope he recovers soon, we miss his creative spark
