I have a feeling a big club in Germany or Spain might take a gamble and sign him. Won't be surprised if it pays off.

I realised today i have missed seeing him play for three months , i was so glad i put the game on today , couldnt focus really and i wasnt moved by us and the game at all but i cant bear the fact that by the time my interest comes back (god willing soon ) he will be gone , not felt so sad at a player leaving since dave and sergio so i will be putting on his remaining games just to see him , sad the club and pep couldnt keep him another year and used him sensibly

Oof. His interview hinting at being open to ‘any project’ is interesting. I presume it’s a bit of a dig at the club for not giving him what he wants.

Let’s face it, we will have offered him terms on a new deal - limited game time, lower salary, lower contract length - and it’s likely he said no/they couldn’t agree on terms. Which is fine.

But I’d hate to see him line up elsewhere in England. I don’t think he will. But he’s always been an emotional person and his family being settled might have some weight to it.

Hopefully he goes to Miami and we can finally see some Messi/KDB link-up.

The club did not make any offer to Kev.

I was under the impression that we didn’t offer him anything as he was willing to take a reduced role on less money. I just hope that isn’t true because if so, by God what a bloody stupid decision. I don’t think he has been anywhere near as bad as people make out this season but when you are surrounded by Gundo Kovacic and Silva every game you are hardly gonna succeed with a defence splitting pass for one of them to run onto are you? So it limits his options to one forward

It’s not been a case of Kev and the club not talking to one another and it suddenly being a shock to him that he’s not got a new deal.

That’s not me being ITK, that’s just obviously how deals do or don’t get done in football. And especially our club, and especially for a club legend like KDB. It won’t be as cut-throat as the majority are making out. It’ll have been a tough call but not a case of Kev getting a call out the blue last week to say tough shit.

It’ll have been a negotiation, us offering (informally) what we view his role to be, him doing the same and ultimately no deal could be made so now’s the time to part ways.

Shame, because days like today show he’s still the best in the league but he did look slow at some points today where he was caught off guard on the ball. But we obviously need to rebuild the team and the difference between his wages being on and off the books I presume will be massive when negotiating for new players.

Have we considered the possibility of KDB lining up against us next season?
He definitively didn’t rule it out in one interview I saw.

Imagine he rocked up at the swamp

Kids are settled in Manchester… they’re daft enough to pay stupid money on his wages.

Hope he doesn’t join another Prem club.

Decision has been made. Given that, today's performance showed how is the best player to ever play for Manchester City that I have been able to watch.

He said in his statement to us that weather you like it or not he future will be away from City.
He played today like he wanted to extend his time with us and had a point to prove.
Fa cup is going to be about king Kev saying goodbye let's hope it's invthe final. CTID

Another baffling decision to let this guy walk in a long line of recent odd decisions from the club.

Kdb has always needed a few games to get back into the groove following injuries. He is still probably our best player when on form
