1894 Group: We need a big atmosphere next week v Spurs

Big games will generate (and have always generated) their own atmosphere - we don't need Pep, or anyone else, to tell us what to do. We can be up there with the best of them, if required.

Not sure where this noise = atmosphere thing has come from, a load of repetitive meaningless chanting is not atmosphere, it's just plain fucking annoying - leave it to the Turkish etc.

At the end of the day, we are northern working people who like: grumbling, rain, grumbling about the rain, joy division and the smiths; we are not fucking Mexican, so if we want to be quiet v Cardiff during a midweek game, so be it. It doesn't mean we don't support the club and team any less.

I'd prefer it if the atmosphere was better than it is for the lesser games tbh but I accept it's not that easy. Cardiff wasn't bad in the main singing areas but it would be nice if we got some more help outside those bits on occasions. Not aimed at you @Eccles Blue because I know you always put in a good shift on the singing front even though you're up against it in one of the quieter areas of the stadium.

But yeah, regarding this game the atmosphere will look after itself and all parts of the stadium will be bang up for this, so we don't need rallying calls from the manager for this match. I don't think it helps that journalists are asking him questions that put him on the spot though.

Hope we can create a decent atmosphere tonight (like it should be every week) and not have people disappearing on 80 mins. Bit embarrassing when even our own manager questions our desire and passion.
