1894 singing block for blackburn

Embarrassing in terms of atmosphere when the whole South Stand is given to away fans.

Really hope the club and 1894 can sort something.

It was excruciatingly bad today, the home atmosphere. What exactly is the 'singing section' when they don't sing? Disband and rebuild it. :)

they werent too bad second half, they cant help it if nobody joins in

Hopefully the group can get together with the club and sort something for future cup games. I'd love to join in but there seems to be an unwillingness/refusal to congregate anywhere but the south stand.

I believe the south stand is probably the worst place in the entire ground to start an atmosphere. To one side there's away fans, and to the other the Main Stand, traditionally the quietest stand at most grounds - the 'old man stand'.

it isn't about congregating where we like but where standing is tolerated

unfortunately there are just a bunch of blocks where that's a possible and the club can't give us a block where people is sitting for the all season

hopefully we can sort something for Watford, fingers crossed

Pretty hard not to feel despondent about home atmosphere at the moment. It really is shocking. I support the efforts of the 1894 group but nights like tonight show how much there is to do in trying to entice people in. At most we had several hundred people singing. There's your issue. For whatever reason, at home, people aren't up for it.

So where the fook were they first half..?? there was nothing to join in with... I was ranting away in EL1 block 142 on my own like Rab C fookin Nesbitt FFS

TYes the club also bears big responsibility.... FFS we are the only club in the fookin league without a proper Home End

I agree that something needs doing mate! Just stating that in the second half at least they tried to get it going. I was in 217 it was like a morgue except from some nutter at the front who kept lifting his top up

It's been good on quite a few occasions this season though so I don't think it's too much to be despondent about

The Cup competitions really offer an opportunity to get like minded people together. I struggle to believe it can't be arranged even with the limited standing areas and increased tickets for away fans.

The main issue tonight was we only opened 2 tiers so because sales were down relocators took up any possible space a singing block might have gone

next round not on telly so crowd might be up? If they open 3 tiers more chance of holding us some seats ie 109

we can't jump the queue the club have a process

the other thing most of the people who wanted to go in a block came off our facebook and twitter we need more from this site actually playing a part

Desperately need a bigger standing section, it really does kill the atmosphere being sat down.

It was very, very, poor tonight, especially in the 1st half. The 2nd half was a bit better, due the goals and the Blackburn fans, who wanted some banter.

The club has to sit down with the 1894 Group and find a block and enough seats together for the next round of the FA Cup at home to Watford, otherwise it will be just as bad.

Even with tickets already sold via the cup scheme, there must be pockets of seating where the 1894 Group and relocators can go. It just needs oganizing ASAP and poroperly by the club.

There were loads of new faces in the Kippax tonight(111,110, 109), so seats must have been available. Even if the 1894 Group and relcators are spread out a bit in either of those blocks, at least they will be in the same area of the ground.

The Watford game is a few weeks away, so there is plenty of time to get things organized properly.

Come on, make it happen. :-)

Fair point, plenty of people unhappy with the atmosphere on here, you'd think more would get involved.

Would it be possible to just pick a block and about 10 rows and spread it through twitter before tickets go on sale or would it be too difficult with Cup schemes etc

Tickets £15 adults, £1 for kids for Watford. On a Saturday 3pm I'm sure that'll be a sell out.
