Same with the rest of the kids. If Pep rated the current EDS kids they would have been given a chance. Phil Foden is the BenchmarkI think Simpson Pusey was more out of necessity.
Of the younger players, he wouldn't have been near the top of the list.
I don't know enough about the young lads to know how good they are other than their cameo appearances for the first team.
I don't think one kid getting time will add to the problem but may not necessarily improve it either. What is essential is to get fast legs onto the pitch and to allow injured players time to recuperate fully.
I watched Athletico against Barcelona at the weekend and the non stop running and closing down by Alvarez, Gallagher and the rest of the Athletico team was remarkable.
Nothing fancy, just pure athleticism and determination.
