It got lost a little, 1: how important that first goal was and 2: how well he took it. Superb finish. He has an urge to play fast quick through balls, which is fantastic.

As good as Haaland is upfront he's limited and i think Alverez is far more versatile a player. Going off what I've seen i think he could easily make it as a midfield attacker, and could possibly fill Bernardo's boots after next summer when he's most likely to leave. As long as Haaland is here he'll be our main striker so it currently limits playing time for Alvarez as our CF.

I like Alvarez as a player but his first touch is a little clumsy and not in the same league as Bernie’s. A far better finisher though.
