I´m still not convinced about him. Good finisher & pressing machine but average first touch & passing.
I think he showed at the WC that if selected consistently he is more than capable. His issue at City is not getting enough minutes. I half-jokingly said during the WC that he would win the WC and then come back and get splinters in his arse watching Mahrez. Unfortunately, I think I will end up being close to the mark.

Put him and Foden alongside Haaland and I think our whole outlook changes. For a start we might start winning the ball high up the pitch again.

I like the lad plenty,he is spilling over with positives.....but i'm not convinced he fits our style/needs.
What is our style now though? If it’s just keep the ball and pass sideways from the flanks and constantly rely on a bit of magic from KDB then no. If you want someone wide of a front 3 who’ll press as well as anybody, add goals and drive then he could fit the bill.

THIS! pep needs to adapt to the new player we have. he has new forwards yet set up the midfield and team to play slow like we did when we had no strikers that is fucking stupid

The first bit seems to be spot on.

This is where our greatest magic lies. In the ability to win it back up the field quickly.

When we start players who aren't good at that, we may struggle.
