Dreadlock Holiday now 10cc.
Good tune

Such a quality act were 10cc ....... wonder how that name came about ??

I seem to recall that, according to a scientific survey, it was the average amount of vinegar that chip shops in Nottingham put on a portion of chips.

Hahaha , classic ......

Looks like the 10cc name came about either through a Jonathan King dream , or somethin' to do with semen!

from wiki:

King signed the band to his UK Records label in July 1972 and dubbed them 10cc. By his own account, King chose the name after having a dream in which he was standing in front of the Hammersmith Odeon in London where the boarding read "10cc The Best Band in the World". A widely-repeated claim, disputed by King and Godley, but confirmed in a 1988 interview by Creme, is that the band name represented a volume of semen that was more than the average amount ejaculated by men, thus emphasising their potency or prowess.

Sorry, but that is an urban myth. It is actually the amount of brylcreem youths from Robin Hood's fair city apply to their luscious glory's prior to venturing to 'The Trip to Jerusalem' ancient public house in order to be assured of a buxom wench tickling their earlobes.

Did 10cc become Godfrey and creme, or something to that effect?

Yes. At least 2 of them did anyway.

Lol (Creme) n Kev (Godley) went on to do their own thing around '76 (they faffed around with some concept stuff before getting into what was the emerging game of producing music videos), leaving Eric (Stewart) and Graham (Gouldman) to continue 10cc (it was they that had the number 1 hit with Dreadlock).

These days it's Graham and his mates touring under the 10cc banner - although I guess he's more realistically 2.5cc!

I feel a bit sick.

Probably my favourite programme a the minute, that shows how crap tv is
nowadays. Paedo Saville and DLT episodes are skipped. 1978 was a brilliant
year for music.

Rememeber seeing them at the Kings Hall Belle Vue, great concert. Stood next to folkie Mike Harding, a miserable twat he was. Dropped the spliff he was trying to hide, panicked like a school kid caughgt pulling one off, a true tosser. The band were great though.
