1st player you had on a city shirt

A lot of love for Paul Walsh......and rightly so!!

The first time I had a number was when Gaudino was with us, the number 4 only.

The only time for a players name was when I got Ireland 7 back in 06-07, the blue reebok kit, the first season he wore that number.......I always knew he was a quality player!

rocastle number 7, i was about 12 and just watched MOTD and just seen him turn about 3 ipswich players at the same time, next morning i got my mum to sew his number on the back, since then i've never bothered until robbie signed, i had to get that shirt so one day i can show my kids, this was when the world stood up open mouthed and noticed city were back.

I remember that game mate, i was in the Kippax, i rekon it was the day Franny took over and FLIPFLOP gave the ball away and ipswich scored, i rekon he equalised as well and maybe Carl Griffiths got the winner, resulting from Rocky doing a shamazzle with the ball underr his studs and sending the offending players into the main stand, flying down the wing and crossing for Griffo to get the 2nd and the winner.Dont quote me though, as i get pretty mashed for the game, especialy in the good ol' days,

My 1st shirt with a name or number on, was no. 2, (Ranson), on the old white away top, 1983 i rek it was, i loved that kit. Me Mrs. bought me the top last year.

If i remember it was David James Goalkeeper kit because i had blank shirts before that.

My first one was Petrov - 15. Until then the only one I put an actual name on, and that was my own, was the First Advice black and red away shirt.

Have had the usual 'City til I Die' etc on my others:-)
