I just found this in my computer which I wrote at the end of the 2003-4 season - our first season at the COMS.

Ode To Man City

When the season kicked off here at Eastlands
We were counting the trophies we'd win
We'd built a new cupboard and put it in't club
T'was to put our new silverware in

The COMS was improved and made bigger
To pack more supporters inside
Cos KK had spent all the clubs money
And had promised us one hell of a ride

So when the season kicked off here at Eastlands
We were full of excitement and fun
We'd bought loads o'dusters t'polish all t'cups
Which we'd get when the season was done

Tho' - from the very first kick o'the season
Our hopes to win cups soon died out
As we watched KK's team getting stuffed every week
We'd bought all them new dusters for nowt!

And with just ten games left of the season
We'd thrown all our dusters in t'bin
Cos we were stuck near the foot o't'league table
And we'd got nowt t'polish - AGGEN
