Guys this thread has gone really off topic! Here's a couple of points:

- Don't trust the ticketing websites, they say they can get loads of tickets even though they don't have them - it's a classic con and they scramble around to find them (if they don't they cancel your ticket).

- Tickets going to tourists is annoying, but it is a tiny fraction of our allocation on the day. If every proper blue goes mad, the atmosphere in our end will be brilliant.

- Don't whinge about not getting tickets to the highest demand game of the season, don't point fingers at other blues. There are dark arts at work here and we all know which methods and means you can use to get tickets to big games. I don't think it's our fellow blues faults for trying anything to get their hands on a ticket it's the whole system that needs tweaking to make it fairer for everyone.

- If you really, really, really, really, want to go. Go. There are always spares on the day. Whether it's in the home end or our section. you''ll get in if you want to and you're prepared to pay a few £'s. (I know not everyone can).

In other news, where are we all going for a pint on the day?

As someone who missed out by the smallest of margins, you can piss off you smug twat.

I’ve been to every European away game and can’t get a tkt for this and you want to tell me not to be annoyed about whilst smugly adding that you obviously are going.

There is no need to be an apologist for the broken system.

The issue here is still the pathetic allocation we have been given. City fans slagging each other off gets nowhere. Less than 3,000 in a capacity of 53,000 is a disgrace for a quarter final. It should be a minimum of 10 per cent like the FA Cup. The people to blame here are UEFA. Fans of all clubs need to work together to change this.

Come on, thats hardly a solution to what is obviously a problem that is becoming bigger every season. Why should loyal fans be forced to pay over the odds just to get into a high profile game where it appears tickets are being creamed off the top and disturbed via unorthodox avenues?

Ask me how they're getting rows of seats or 50 together in the south stand v gladbach , it certainly isn't random blues selling their seats , don't ask me why they do it but they hold so many back and sell them via agencies to promote city round the world is my guess but one day it will go off & badly & the club should take the blame .
I get home games, they sometimes make discounted tickets available at Manchester, Salford and Bolton Universities. I was referring to away games.

Don't forget the minutes applause in the 39th minute to recognise the unique european history of the scousers. It would be funny how the commentators accross europe explain to the uneducated what its all about and shame their club on a bigveuropean night

I have to agree there, I know there are odd occasions when a good loyal fan is spanked by our ticketing process, we can all come up and say "yes but two seasons ago when I applied for....."

the whole ticketing system has grown in to a mess, not just the club to blame. Ticket scrambles have been around since late 70's going in to 80's, I experienced them then.

Speaking of tickets, just got a txt off club saying season card holders can now have two tickets for Liverpool at home ! That in itself is an all round disgrace.

why is it a disgrace? I know quite a few blues who have no time for this competition after the way we have been treated over the years. I go to a few away legs but mainly for the crac I go to the odd home leg mainly to take the kids. I am going to this one but I would never call anyone for not going. And I don't give a flying if we have empty seats or not.
