It was heated at the front and they put that on,as you say funny once.Not the class that I have come to expect from City nowadays.

If a person can't take someone playing a certain song and a bit of banter after your team has been beat which is all it is, I think the last place said person should be is at a game, if your feelings get so hurt by such a minor carry on stay at home and lock all the doors and only come out a good three hours after the game has finished by which time they may be able to mix with people in society again without looking to pummel some poor fella.....there is no excuse for acting like a numbskull and looking to attack innocent people on their way home from a game of football

Chelsea's away support is amongst the worst to come to City with an alarming regularity. We've had coins thrown at us in 216 and a good dozen were kicked out one season for trying to jump the divide or abusing Stewards. A few swaggered in to a pub in town for the league match and had the look of EDL rejects. All old men with grey hair. Anyone who has been to Stamford Bridge will tell you the home support is remarkably different.

I think they should have at least been held in for a few minutes to allow City fans to get off and then released in to the night. It could've prevented trouble.

Whatever happened to keeping the away fans in for 30 minutes let the area clear completely, particularly as there were still plenty of trains

I hate being locked in, its totally unnecessary.
The trouble yesterday was caused by a few idiots, locking them in wouldnt of changed that - they would of picked a fight in town.
i hope we never return to the days of away fans being locked in...it would totally ruin the away match experience.

As you say, there was already trouble so playing One Step Beyond at the end didn't cause that did it? It was a combination of Chelsea dickheads & Mourinho constantly winding people up. They've got to go to Arsenal next month and he's already started on Wenger.

Your not wrong, I said the same thing to PB tonight, the Chelsea fans seemed more wound up than usual, I can only put it down to their manager and his attitude, because I have not seen other fans as angry as that, it's time the FA had a word in his ear and tell him that his words do have an effect but perhaps not on the people he wants!

Maureenyo will tell the tale that his words have not had a violent effect on Wenger or Pellegrini so it should be clear that they are only words. He doesn't factor in the complete lack of intelligence and morality that are at the core of a few dozen football fans who are inflamed by his snide verbal swipes at anyone he fancies!

Mourinho intends to stick around at Chelsea for a few years, & in that time he is going to try to engineer trouble between Chelsea & some of their rivals, especially City. He will keep ramping it up & try to give Chelsea a sense of grievance against us, even though we have literally done nothing wrong, other than occasionally win a game v them. The kind of people most easilly led by that kind of thing, other than the media, are the lowlifes, on both sides, who enjoy hostility.

This will result in incidents where people get hurt, some, just passers by or people making the wrong remark at the wrong time.

He doesn't give a shit about that. He is a self centred shithouse with no sense of responsibility.

Plus you only have to look at Wembley in the 2011 semi, to see what happens when an already loutish following, complete with a perverse and entrenched sense of entitlement, takes its lead from a manager intent on continually baiting an opposition team. It fuels resentment, however ill merited, and bingo, you've got a load of halfwits punching mums and dads out with their kids. I was walking past just as this all unfolded. I was walking back to the car with my lad and my uncle when one man was hit so hard he was unconscious immediately and I have never heard a thud as loud as when his head hit the floor. I immediately shouted to the nearest Police Officer to radio for an ambulance and they seemed somewhat slow in calling the ambulance.

I shouted once again and the officer took the sarcastic approach and said to me words to the effect of "Do you want me to fly one in?"

At this point, the man who was motionless on the floor was clearly in a bad way and then more officers approached and started pushing people away. Then the horses came across and people were ushered away and those who were responsible had clearly disappeared into the night.

Now I do not know if the guy who was flat out was a City fan or a Chelsea fan, however we need to remember that this is nothing more than a football game and somebody may not get home tonight or possibly for quite a while. The way his head hit the floor, I still fear the worse for him. Somebody will be making his way home particularly proud of himself and may be seen as a hero to his friends when the reality is that the guy could be dead after such a heavy impact with the floor.

I hope that he/those who were responsible have the courage to turn themselves in however I know that this simply will not happen. Regardless of whether the injured person was a City or Chelsea fan, I doubt that he deserved to be injured in this way and above all, I wish him a speedy recovery.

Saw this happen too and it was playing on me mind last night. Does anyone know if theyre ok? We walked out the main stand and walked along side them for 100 metres up to Mary Ds. All the way up there weren't enough police and they were snarling. City fans winding them up too as expected. Then at the corner there was a bit of a scuffle and from what I saw one balding skin head guy threw two punches and downed 2 blokes. Like you said the noise was sickening but don't think any knives were involved. Also don't think the two guys were expecting it at all and neither were the crowd expecting such violence. The guy wore no colours and disappeared sharpish leaving people to digest what happened. Police were crap.
