You are aware that he actually opens his mouth and speaks at press conferences, yes? Have you got your TV on mute and just not noticed?
He does and he says all sorts of stuff. Half of which is utter nonsense that he doesn’t mean.

Do you take everything he says as verbatim and not understand that sometimes he says things that you have to think about context and tone to hav a go at understanding what he might mean?

He probably doesn’t thing Nathan Redmond is one of the best players in the world.

It’s a forum where people post opinions. I stand by mine about Pep being angry/hurt with Walker.

You can stand by yours doubting that.

I think it's pretty safe to assume Pep was angry/hurt by Walker asking to leave. Possibly only partly because he went to Txiki first, but probably more so because he's the club captain and it's quite the dereliction of duties to ask to leave because you aren't starting games. Particularly when that's been because of your own form!

Agreed. I didn’t think it was that controversial a take, but hey ho.

Why would he even mentioned that Walker went to Txiki to the press if it wasn’t a thing for Pep?

I didn’t realise that Kyle was leaving ‘in disgrace’? Or was it the fans giving him verbal abuse at the last match who were in disgrace? (They should have been IMHO)
I think behind the scenes , it’s not too dissimilar to Cancelo leaving. Not as much animosity, but he’s demanded to leave and told his agent to find another club.

It’s been handled better insomuch that the club and player haven’t leaked anything to the press, but it was a quick turnaround, just like Cancelo.

Whether it’s in disgrace is obviously subjective and I won’t die on a hill defending a post that was obviously slightly tongue in cheek.

I’ll level with you. I don’t even think that is winning the treble is very likely this season even with Walker gone!

He paused before he said anything, weighing up what he was going to say and how to deliver it. I think it was quite an open and honest statement. He is usually vague or dismissive of questions around transfer activity so the fact he revealed it means he wasn't very happy in my opinion.

In doing so he's basically informed the fan base our captain wants out and isn't up for the fight. Generally we're a pretty fair bunch so his legacy won't be too harmed by it. But in 5-10 years when we talk about Walker there will be some who mention how he threw in the towel and his conduct off the pitch as much as they do about how incredible he was for us for so long. It's a bit like Yaya Toure and his agent, it does take something away from their legacy as a player.

I think Kyle wanted out and didn’t think about the fans or the club but just about himself and his family.
None of us know what else was going on behind the scenes with his family (or the club)
Strange as it may seem to us, the club is not the be all and end all of the world! I know, I know, it’s hard to understand that there are other things outside the little bubble that is MANCHESTER CITY, THE BEST TEAM IN THE LAND AND ALL THE WORLD.
Basically it might not have been that he wouldn’t fight. It could have been there were other considerations.

JMHO.

I can't be arsed with the soap drama of someone's private life. We've all got skeletons in the closet.

He's been the best RB in this country for a generation, best in the world at one time I think. The way he kept some really top top talent from beating us was legendary imo.

Sad it came to this but he's been brilliant and his best form will be irreplaceable.

Kyle Walker: "Manchester City... where do I start? Signing for this incredible club in 2017 was a dream come true. Seven years later, winning 17 trophies, including the Champions League and the famous treble is something I could only have dreamt as a child.

"To play alongside so many top players has pushed me to be the best version of myself, and I'm truly grateful for the opportunity I've had at the Etihad.

"A huge thank you to so many people, the coaching staff, the kit men and all the backroom staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes. You make every day enjoyable and provide the platform for us to perform at our best.

"To my teammates, from the moment I walked through the door I felt at home. Thank you for the great memories and for all the success we have shared together. You are friends, but also family for life.

"To Pep Guardiola, thank you for believing in me and working so hard to bring me here in 2017. Together, we've celebrated 17 trophies, and your guidance has helped shape me into the player I am today. I'll be forever grateful.

"To Annie, our children and all my family who have been there and supported me on this journey thank you.

"Most importantly, to the fans-thank you for embracing me as one of your own from day one. Your unwavering support, week in, week out, home and away, will never be forgotten.

"I wish you all constant success going forward. Thank you. Kyle." [IG]

Very good statement from Kyke.

Sad to see Kyle Walker go but it's the right time.

He's been an absolutely incredible servant for the club! The best ever Premier League right back in my opinion, We wouldn't have won what we've won without Kyle Walker.

Genuinely wish him the best of luck in Italy.

Thank you for giving myself and my kids some of the best days in our lives, Memories that will last a lifetime.

Best of luck Kyle.
