I see City have released a statement condemning racist abuse towards Kyle.

Whilst it’s not racist the abuse he gets on here is completely unacceptable.

Only on the previous page does someone call him a “useless ****”.

I don’t like it but it seems to be tolerated.

Personal abuse is the reason deleted my account which I’d had since 2008 and it is just unnecessary.

I agree, there's too much personal player abuse on this forum. It may not be racist but it's uncalled for. By all means critique his play etc, but people need to lay off the personal attacks.

It's horrible and it's upto the companies offering the platform to have better ways of identifying and punishing these scumbags.

Personally I've always been of the opinion this kind of thing should be reported to the authorities and ignored and not publicised. I strongly suspect the majority of the people thick enough to send something like that do so with the primary intention of gaining attention, I'm sure they'll use it as some kind of brag amongst their fellow scum.

The racist abuse is despicable. Why do people need to resort to that when criticising a player FFS?

As for all the general non-racist criticism of late, Father Time catches up with everyone but for me he's arguably been the best right-back this club has ever had and while no player should be beyond criticism we need to step back and recognise how invaluable a player he's been and accept that, like Kev, his best days are probably sadly behind him.

There's a minority of people who are content to not be openly racist when everything's going well, but fall into it easily as soon as things start going wrong.

It's not hard. Criticise a player's form, performances, fitness, talent, attitide, discipline and all the rest of it as much as you want (although try to have some balance in holding all players to the same standards, recognising what they've done for us in the past and understanding that age and injuries catch up with everyone). But leave the racist bullshit out of it.
