2 | Kyle Walker - 2024/25

Seems this could very well be Walker's swansong season at City. With too many below par performances out there upon the field of play. Wishing him well, what a living legend, through and through.

So because he was once a great fullback he can’t be a bellend?

Why would you want to call any City player a bellend??

Especially one that has been magnificent for us?

He's not the only one who had a dip in form but he's getting abuse and its fucking ridiculous.

You think only Walker has stuff going on in his private life? He cheated. Like a lot of football players. It's just kept out of the papers.

In any case who cares? This isn't Loose Women, I only care about the football and he's been the best right back in the league for many years.

Something many quickly forget after a bad run of games.
I wouldn't let him don a blue shirt again after his theatrics yesterday, pitiful is an understatement.

I feel bad for this guy, top player a few years back, but father time really caught up with him of late. When that happens so quickly to someone who is used to being worldclass, they tend to lose their shit, which is why I wager he pulled off that ridiculous flop.

Still deserves a lot of respect for what he did for the City dynasty, sad to see people here dishing it out.

I will forever be grateful that he was our player. Truly world class and won everything with us. Our best right back in my life time anyway. Unfortunately things come to an end maybe he has one more season as a squad player. I'm not going to start calling him for one bad two month spell out of 7 years top level service.

A season too far for him. The best RB of the PL era and someone who has been so reliable for us and key to our whole defensive structure for much of the Pep era. Mbappe, Vinicius...so many who he comfortably had in his pocket which was critical to us winning the big CL games. Sadly, as we've always known, once his pace went his whole game would disappear.

No he's not a bellend.

He's been the best right back the club has had and is having a big dip in form.

But rather than support him we have people on here throwing insults at him. Not just insults but abuse at him.

No he's not a bellend. Or rather, I couldn't give a toss what he does in a pub or elsewhere. As far as I'm concerned, he can walk down Market St every day with his cock out. (I'd probably rather not be there, but that's another matter). Now his behaviour off the pitch is then for the club to settle with him, because all players are now ambassadors of the club, whether they like it or not. I only care about what he does on the pitch, frankly.

But no, conversely, he's really not having a big dip in form, in all honesty. He's been a great servant to the club. As good as anyone. His race is run. He's not the force that he was. He's never been a great player of the ball, and his sense of positioning has been questionable, sometimes fatally so. It didn't matter so much because he had great physicality, great determination, and ferocious speed. Had them.

“Best right back the club has had”? That's a big claim. He'd be in the discussion. That discussion, incidentally, would have to include Tony Book. And probably Pablo Zabaleta. But it's a possible discussion.

Insults are out of order. A sober assessment of the situation isn't. We need another man on that side. Johnny is now injured at least two-thirds of the time. He's not the answer (and he never did look like a natural full back to me). Rico is not the answer. The lad's being pilloried on this forum, but full back is definitely not his natural position, and never was. We need another man.
