I think it’s been compounded by a lack of game intelligence. He simply hasn’t adapted to losing his pace and a lot of his current failings are down to good old fashioned arrogance.Never seen a player crash and burn so quickly. He has gone completely as a top level player in just 12 months.
The best example of that is when he got roasted by Werner for Spurs fourth, thinking he could compete from a standing start and got ruined by him. It’s happened countless times this season, or not being in sync with the rest of the back four and playing folk inside.
Plenty of great players have eked out their playing careers by adapting their style, dropping off a yard or two, using their physicality etc but Walker seems to have imploded on all fronts this season.
Pep needs to be getting tough - a few including Kyle are needing benched for youngsters and not even being used as subs at the moment.
