2 nil and we go through

The possibility of successfully navigating a 2-0 is approximately 3,720 to 1

3-1 or 3-2 AET is more likely than 2-0

All those really highly paid actuaries at the bookmakers are around the 33 to 1 mark, so I'd say you're a teeny bit off.

Can I just remind you of our 1-0 victory in the Joan Gamper trophy, yes it wasn't such a high profile game, but we pulled off an improbable result then, so don't all throw the towel in just yet!
A similar player, with lightning pace did the damage that night, for Petrov, read Navas!

Interesting fixture this one. On paper Barca are the better team and we need two goals (minimum) to go through.
It should be (and might yet turn out to be) no contest BUT this is City we are talking about. If we score first, or even second then
who knows? In the eyes of the Catalan public they are already through. If we score the pressure on them will be enormous.
I don't see 0-2 because we will concede but 1-3. 2-3, 2-4 are not impossible.I'm not confident but as others have said one day
we will come good in Europe and it will probably happen when we least expect it.

Our best chance is if they go down to 10 men, like Bayern did when we beat them last. Barca's defence is shit anyhow so if we can get a man advantage to neutralize their midfield we can score 2 or 3 goals and win.

Be great to win there in a competitive game, but 1-0 sees us out, we'll need to score 2 or 3 at least.

Barcelona will be more than confident in going through after that first game. They'll lineup in the same manner as well I would imagine. I think we have to play 4-2-3-1 and allow Kolarov licence to get forward. I'd play Fernandinho, Yaya, Milner wide left, Silva no.10, Navas or Nasri wide right and Aguero up top.

We get an early goal it's game on. We just need to keep compact and we can do that by introducing Fernando late on and pushing Yaya further forward. I think the key is to make minor tactical alterations. When we got on the front foot and at them we had success. It will be an interesting game but if it's 1-0 with 10 minutes to go we can get the second goal - Bony etc more than capable of scoring when we go more direct, particularly with the likes of Yaya and Kolarov threatening from set plays.

I would start as follows:

Hart
Sagna Kompany Demi kolarov
Ferds Other Ferds
Nasri Yaya Silva
Aguero

We need to be solid and not overrun in midfield this time. If we can do that and hit them on the counter then if we get a goal we really are in the mix. Going to need a lot of luck, hard work and grit to stop them scoring though.

Not sure who this "other" is, but with 12 v 11 we've definitely got a chance.

Brilliant, haha

After watching schalke tonight, I don't see why we can't go to barca and do them. We need to finally show up on the big stage, even if we go out after giving them a scare I'll be happy. The only thing that's stopping us from going through is the players attitude. Probablt add our formation to that too. Schalke gave it there all tonight, pressed non stop and countered well.

Hart

Zabba vinny mangala kolarov

Fernandinho yaya Milner

Navas silva

Sergio

Can't see why we can't go through, let's get at them from the off.

Fully expecting us to start playing after going a goal behind and leaving it to late.
