If Messi would have arrived last summer Kane wouldn't even in the reckoning now. Messi didn't come and now we need to think of the future. Kane will get goals, for a longer period of time and we have enough exceptional midfielders to supply him.

This is a wonderful question to be posing ourselves. Liccle old City, the noisy neighbours, deciding between England’s Captain and the best player in the world. Well, who’d have thunk it?

Really depends which of them wants us most.

Messi would be a decent squad player/bench option tbf, as understudy to Phil, but Kane would be first choice when we bother to play a forward.

This isn't even a debate. Messi is the greatest player alive, yes he's reaching the end of his career but even at his age he's still a million miles better than the rest. He makes kanes and indeed Sergio's goal ratio's look amateurish in comparison and does the same with kdbs assist records simultaneously.

Who cares if he didn't come to us sooner that's no reason to not want him now.
