I now think there’s a real argument for saying that our midfield 3 is Rodri, Bernardo and either KDB or Gundogan. Bernie seems to be the fall guy, when KDB is around, but he gives us a real energy in the middle of the park that Gundogan and KDB don’t.

Love it when he’s a bad situation with two men on him and he somehow wiggles between them both with the ball glued to his fit. He has that ability to make the ball stick to him even if a defender gets a touch, can’t get my head round how he manages it. Only a few players have the skill. The other one is that past it argie who’s going to be playing in blue next season.

KDB and Gundo cannot play in the same midfield. Pep will likely play Kev as the false 9 when we are at full strength. Probably flanked by Foden and Mahrez as it stands currently.

Bernardo’s attributes make the entire team better, better than any other player in the squad.
