Hopefully he wont become the sacrificial lamb for Kev's return.

I agree with that but im talking longer term,i dont want him pushed down the pecking order again. We play better with him in the side and he wouldn't deserve it.If KDB and Gundo are fit to start, I think he should be. He's started 14 of our last 15 games and played 90 in 11 of them.
Time to put his feet up before Monchengladbach.
That’s not the issue though, is it?? I said it right after the KDB injury, Bernardo, just like in the same scenario a few seasons ago, has been the glue for the team, we look more cohesive and it shouldn’t be a given that Kev walks back in, long term...If KDB and Gundo are fit to start, I think he should be. We got the perfect storm brewing and the timing is impeccable. Kev definitely shouldn’t be starting right away and pep / the club doesn’t look at it that way. Bernardo will start the more important matches and that’s how it should be. Kev has been out of form all year and it’s up to him to find it. If he can’t then he won’t play. That’s not the issue though, is it?? Now if it elevates KDBs game, which would be hard, then it’s win win, however, Bernardo deserves his spot in the team on merit, not because he was filling a gap!
I think neither KDB replacing Bernardo nor Bernardo remaining an ever-present will happen. They’ll rotate. We couldn’t do that recently, with Foden being a winger and KDB/Fernandinho out. But now we can. It’s the same as with the defence. Pep said a while back that if you play well you keep the shirt, but that was just playing psychological games with the squad. Dias, Stones and Laporte are now in rotation. Walker, Zinchenko and Cancelo are rotating. Same will happen with the midfield. That’s not the issue though, is it?? That isn’t the same rule for Kev, when he’s fit he plays 9/10 timesI think neither KDB replacing Bernardo nor Bernardo remaining an ever-present will happen. They’ll rotate.
