Another great performance as a False9..

Now Bernardo perfectly operates as a LCM, RCM and False9...

Frenkie Dejong though, is a good idea to cover Rodri and he also plays RCM / LCM..

But isn't Bernardo capable to cover Rodri ? If needed I think he could play there as well. There were moments in April, when he dropped even deeper than Rodri and had to help team with the build-up, so I think we can count on Bernardo on that position..

So, if anything makes sense -> that's doubling Bernardo's salary and giving him a new contract, as he is the only player who can play at all the positions in midfield..

Will be a huge loss if he is gone or swapped to Frenkie De Jong..
 
It's a definite shortcoming of how this sport is measured that Sterling got an assist for De Bruyne's third goal and Bernardo didn't. That run across the defensive line that created a huge hole for De Bruyne was absolutely superb, a career centre-forward would have been proud of that

Plus the beautifully weighted pass for the opener

Hockey has the 2nd assist as a way around this.

Best we have in football are SCA (Shot Creating Actions) and GCA (Goal Creating Actions).

Silva was the king of this stat. Grealish and KdB are our kings for this stat this season, which has had me thinking lately we should play Grealish in our "David Silva" role.
 
I love him.

It wasn't working for him on the pitch on Sunday but I love that he bombed it across the pitch to celebrate the 3rd goal.
