That’s all well and good but to not replace him is utter lunacy. His work rate, defensive output and ball retention will be very sorely missed. Can live with us missing out on a striker but letting Bernardo leave with no replacement coming in would be so stupid

Not sure grealish will give us the same defensive solidity that Bernardo gives us. Really hope he stays but that doesn’t look likely

I understand respecting his wishes but we simply don't win the league without him or a suitable replacement.

We can't throw away a shot at a title for the club and every other player in the squad to grant one player his wish to move.

We've not stood in his way, he's had an opportunity to move on, it's upto his agent to find him a club, he managed to get Ronaldo done in 48 hours, he's had more than 48 days to do the same for Bernardo, that's not on us. He has to stay now and any displeasure can be aimed at his agent.

As brilliant as he is suggestions that we can't win the league without him are harsh on the rest of the squad. We went without De Bruyne for most of 18-19 and Aguero last season and still did fine.

Losing Bernardo would hinder us absolutely, but we don't NEED any one player.
