Scored that goal early on and then his head was on fucking Mars for the rest of the night. No idea what's been up with him this season.

He was awful. Love him to bits but he gave the ball away so much tonight. Will have to watch it back but that’s how it felt at the game.

Was poor most of the game but he has a knack of scoring against this lot, hopefully he'll be less sloppy next week.

Had some poor moments but he & Foden brought us back in the 2nd half, scored the first goal & run the most of all the players on the pitch (12 km).

Dispossessed with his back to goal a couple of times, which led to counters, but his value to the team is beyond words. Instrumental now in three great results against Real Madrid and not yet 30. Losing him would not only weaken our midfield but serve as a psychological fillip for the likes of Real Madrid/Bayern Munich/Internazionale.

Was just thinking about him while I fried up my potatoes and pork cutlet. And realising how deeply I admire him, and have affection for him, more than probably any other City player since the departures of Vin, Sergio and Merlin.
How many times have I seen him work his absolute bollocks off to press opposition defenders and their keeper? Dozens, certainly, possibly hundreds. Nobody — nobody —works as hard as him at that.
A wonderfully skilled footballer, with a first touch that is in the conversation for being a rival to Mahrez's, and that's saying something, and a really nice guy, who has shown nothing but love for City since coming from Monaco.
Still think of him casually drinking that coffee when the dippers came out of the tunnel for the “guard of honour”. They should do a statue of that — Bernardo and his coffee, a slight sneer on his face.
And what did we pay for him? Something utterly absurd in today's market. Even when he came, it was bargain basement for the player we were getting.
I know this much. Every great player at City has had his due of recognition from us, in my opinion, even when he hasn't had it from the media and other supporters. With the single possible exception of Bernardo. Only when he has gone (and he will go, and it will be with my blessing) will we fully realise just what we had.
He will be missed not just in this position, or that. But all over the pitch.

Very well put. In my eyes, he’s been as important a name on the team sheet as KDB these past few seasons.
