One of Pep's favourites who will not get benched even though he's now in his second continuous season of playing poorly. When Bobb is up to match fitness he starts on that right side and it will be thanks a lot and goodbye to Bernardo in the summer

What sort of transfer fee do you think we’d get for him in the summer?

He’ll have just one year on his contract by that time, and two years of pretty dire form behind him unless there’s a dramatic upturn in the next few months.

I can’t see many teams wanting to push the boat out for him.

Probably enough for benfica to sign him .

Thought he had a decent game tbh, but the fact that he is the one having to be in the box at the back post for their first goal just shows the trouble we have been in. He's trying to cover 2/3 players roles in one, it's just not possible and we're burning him out - all self-inflicted.

100% this.

Silva has been flogged by Pep, very rarely doesn't play or get injured and is constantly switched from RW to midfield.

It's no wonder his form has dipped ( not as much as some people are making out)

The one thing I have noticed lately as been his poor ball retention - which is usually the best in the premiership.

He is not being helped by the lack legs in our aging midfield or the lack of a press or movement by our attack.

I'm sure once ( if) we get some reinforcements in the middle his form will return.

It's horrible watching him at the minute. I was at the game on Tuesday and he is a shadow of the great player he was.

Everything looks laboured and hard work. He's running but in quick sand. He looks tired but he's even kicked a ball.

The buzz and energy are gone.

Bernardo has been wanting to leave about 4 years now and each summer I worried that he'd leave. I'm not worrying anymore because he needs to leave because he's become a shadow of his former self and he has no magic boots nowadays.
Would like him to go back to benfica to finish his career tbh.

Agreed, we have run the little fella into the ground.

For me like Walker he deserves to be released on a free and let him go and get a huge signing on fee at the club he wants , he has been a magnificent servant, a warrior and hero, he owes us absolutely nothing.

I hope more than anything that he leaves this summer and that we get a strong and corpulent midfielder to replace him (Guimmaers type)

For me he’s stayed a season too long due to our poor recruitment……..brilliant player that he has been

At last, he was rested. Has the penny dropped?

With two or three or four more games out of the picture, he might be able to refresh. Got to be worth a try as our much loved Bernardo has cut a sad figure in recent months and can’t, in all honesty, justify a starting place

Was think if he wouldn't of played against Ipswich would some of the breaks we had would of been killed? He loves to try to kill the game and control it!

Could see that. It’s Grealish and him who love to do that.

I'm hoping this is more of a tactical tweak by Pep, realising that when we keep possession the opposition get everyone back and it kills our attack. We need to go for it on the break when the opportunity is there. Kev being back also helps of course.

Any chance we can do a deal with Bernardo like we are with Walker, just let him go and let the club pick up his wages instead of a fee.

Hes genuinely been anonymous for two years.
